He graduated and completed his plastic surgery residency training at the University of Toronto Medical School, and has been recognized by multiple scientific publications in major medical journals. He has been in private practice for 12 years. Currently on staff at Humber River Memorial Hospital, Toronto Ontario, Dr. Backstein performs all surgery in a hospital setting, with the option for a private clinic setting available as well.
