Consultations

We are pleased to offer initial consultations at no charge. Initial consultations will be of twenty five (25) minutes duration. Patients wishing to have a second consultation date to ask further questions, have family members present etc. will be charged $100 to be deducted from the total cost of any procedure(s) booked

Booking Surgery

Thank you for considering cosmetic surgery with Dr. Backstein. In order to ensure that operating room resources are used efficiently, we require a $500 deposit upon booking your surgical date into our queue. DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
The balance (total surgical fee plus applicable taxes less the deposit) is due no less than 14 days prior to the surgical date.
The balance remains owed in full if the surgical case is cancelled by the patient less than 14 days prior to the surgical date. In the case of a cancellation due to medical reasons and supported by a medical doctor's note, we may waive the payment of the balance but the deposit remains non-refundable.
If the patient chooses not to attend on the day of surgery, the entire surgical fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Revisionary Surgery

Cosmetic surgery is an art as well as a science. There is a significant amount of subjectivity involved in the assessment of the quality of surgical results.
While the treatment of most post-operative medical problems and complications is covered by OHIP, any revisionary surgery requested by patients to change the aesthetic results is not covered by OHIP. Patients will be responsible for the costs of any revisionary surgery. These costs will include hospital charges as well as anesthesia fees at a minimum.
